Because our cats live in foster homes, we know them — and we use that knowledge to help you choose a companion whose personality and needs genuinely fit your life.

Before You Adopt
Adoption is a commitment that commonly spans fifteen years or more. Before you apply, take an honest look at what a cat needs over their whole life:
- Time. Daily feeding, play, litter care, and companionship — every day, including busy ones.
- Financial responsibility. Food, litter, routine veterinary care, and a plan for unexpected medical expenses.
- Enrichment. Scratching posts, vertical space, toys, and interactive play to keep your cat healthy and happy.
- Safe housing. A stable, cat-friendly home — and plans that include your cat when life changes.
- Patience with transitions. New cats need days to weeks to settle in, and introductions to other pets take time.
- A long view. Kittens become adults; adults become seniors. Adopt the whole journey, not just the cute beginning.

How do I see which cats are available?
Our adoptable cats change frequently. Contact us through the form below or by phone, tell us about your home, and we'll share which cats might be a great match for you.
Is there an adoption fee?
Please contact us for current adoption fee information. Fees help offset the cost of care and preparing cats for adoption.
Are the cats spayed or neutered?
We are committed to spay/neuter as a core value. Cats are sterilized before adoption or, for young kittens, according to veterinary guidance — contact us for details about a specific cat.
Can I adopt if I rent my home?
Yes, though we recommend confirming that your lease allows cats and understanding any pet policies before applying.
Can I adopt if I have other pets?
Often, yes. We'll talk about your current pets and help you choose a cat likely to fit, then guide you through a gradual introduction process.
Can I adopt if I have children?
Many cats do wonderfully with children. We'll help match you with a cat whose temperament suits a home with kids, and share guidance on respectful, safe interactions.
How long does the adoption process take?
It varies. We take the time needed to make a good match rather than rushing. Thoughtful matching leads to adoptions that last.
Do you offer same-day adoptions?
We don't promise same-day adoption. Our priority is making sure the match is right for both the cat and your household.
What if the adoption doesn't work out?
Contact us. We want our cats safe, and we will always work with adopters to find the right path — including taking a cat back into our care if needed.
Do you adopt to homes outside Columbus?
We primarily serve Columbus and the surrounding area. Contact us about your specific situation and we'll let you know what's possible.
Can I meet a cat before deciding?
Yes — meeting a cat is an important part of the process. We'll arrange an introduction as part of your adoption conversation.
What should I buy before bringing a cat home?
Food and water bowls, a litter box and litter, a scratching post, a bed, toys, and a carrier. Our blog has a full home-preparation guide.
Are your cats good with dogs?
Some cats have experience with dogs; others don't. Let us know about your dogs and we'll help identify cats most likely to adjust well.
Why adopt instead of buying from a breeder?
Adoption saves a life, supports rescue work, and connects you with a cat whose personality we already know well — while helping reduce the number of homeless cats.
Do you have kittens available?
Kittens come into care seasonally. Ask us about current availability — and consider an adult cat too, whose personality is already established and whose gratitude is legendary.
