Everyone should be able to use this site — including people using assistive technology.

Our Commitment

RAINS CAT RESCUE is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, regardless of ability or the technology they use to browse.

Standards We Follow

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. In practice, that means:

  • Semantic headings and landmarks so screen readers can navigate structure
  • Descriptive alternative text for meaningful images
  • Keyboard access to every interactive element, with visible focus styles
  • A "skip to main content" link at the top of every page
  • Color contrast chosen for readability, with meaning never conveyed by color alone
  • Labeled form fields with clear, text-based error messages
  • Responsive layouts that work at high zoom levels and on small screens

Accessibility is not a one-time project. We review pages as we add content and correct issues as we find them.
